How long does activation take?
Services are activated automatically upon payment confirmation. In most cases this happens within minutes.
Shell Accounts
What can I use a shell account for?
Our shell accounts are intended for IRC use only. This includes running IRC clients, bouncers such as ZNC, bots such as Eggdrop, and similar IRC-related tools.
Can I run an IRCD on a shell account?
No. IRCD is not permitted on shell accounts. If you need to run an IRC server, please order our dedicated IRCD X package.
What is the difference between Shell 1, 2 and 3?
Shell 1 provides 2 processes and 1 username. Shell 2 provides 6 processes and 3 usernames. Shell 3 provides 12 processes and 6 usernames.
Do I get root access on a shell?
No. Shell accounts provide standard user access appropriate for IRC use. If you need root access our VPS X package is the right choice.
Can I upgrade my shell later?
Yes. You can upgrade at any time from the client portal. The price difference is prorated for the remainder of your billing period.
IRCD Hosting
What is included in IRCD X?
IRCD X includes unlimited bandwidth and managed support. We handle the technical side so you can focus on running your network.
Which IRCD software do you support?
We support UnrealIRCd, InspIRCd, ircd-ratbox and more. Contact us to discuss your preferred software.
Can I migrate my existing IRC network?
Yes. Our team will assist with migrating your existing IRCD configuration to our infrastructure with minimal downtime.
IRC Reseller
Will my customers see TrustNetwork24 branding?
No. The platform is fully white-label. Your customers interact with your brand only.
What does the managed option include?
For an additional $50 per month, our team handles the technical management of your reseller infrastructure. Server maintenance, updates, and issue resolution all handled by us.
Can I have more than 100 accounts?
Yes. Contact us to discuss scaling your reseller package beyond the standard allocation.
VPS Hosting
Is the VPS managed or unmanaged?
VPS X is unmanaged by default. You have full root access and manage the server yourself. Contact us if you need a managed option.
What is a /64 IPv6 block?
A /64 IPv6 block provides you with a large range of IPv6 addresses allocated exclusively to your VPS.
What uses are permitted on the VPS?
The VPS may be used for any legal purpose. Any activity that violates UK law or our Terms of Service is strictly prohibited.
Billing & Payments
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Stripe (card payments), PayPal, and bank transfer. Bank transfer is available to customers in the UK and Norway only. All payments are in USD.
What happens if I miss a payment?
Your service will be suspended after 7 days of non-payment. If payment is not received within 14 days, the service will be permanently terminated and all associated data deleted.
Can I get a refund?
We do not offer refunds on provisioned services unless the issue was caused by a fault on our side. Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days via the client portal ticket system.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. You can cancel any service from the client portal with no cancellation fee. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
Security & Privacy
Do you log my activity?
We collect only the data necessary to provision and manage your services. We do not sell or share customer data with third parties except where required by UK law.
Are your servers DDoS protected?
Yes. Our infrastructure includes DDoS mitigation to protect your services from attacks.
